If you are lucky enough to be part of the VM team I’m sure you would enjoy it, can’t say anything bad about the managers or coworkers that are currently there. This happens when the good people aren’t valued! It’s upseting to see such an amazing place turned black. It’s sad as I know that many of my colleges and managers are still there and they are amazing, but sadly they have come across some really bad new managers and directors that have somehow changed their positive attitude. I managed to get out of there before it all crashed in to flames. I left because of an other job opportunity. The sales associates lost their commission (to be fair it was far to high to begin with, I felt some didn’t deserve those earnings), so when reality hit them they started to badmouth the company, contaminating the other teams with their negativity. To the end of my months management started to change and people started to feel negative. My managers where amazing, very pleasant to work with and the atmosphere when I stared was great! People respected eachother and team work was everywhere. I learnt a lot as a VM and gain amazing experience. My time in Victoria’s Secret was amazing. also nearly zero progression even for girls who were there for 4+ years. All in all a headache that i hated at the end. staff turn over is crazy, new staff coming and staff leaving basically every week because of how toxic the work environment is, the managers not all but a couple have very little emotional intelligence and sometimes come off very cold and standoffish. associates are expected to train other associates rather than the supervisor or managers setting up proper onboarding. i worked there for years and luckily had the good training when i started but those new girls were just put on the shop floor with nothing no help given to them. incompetent and stressed out management that project their stress into the employees, non stop drama including drama with managers and associates, non stop gossiping, non stop complaining, extremely low moral, long hours with very little added benefits (which they used to have loads of benefits for staff) very little training and you’re just thrown in the deep end. Before their administration, VS was a really fun and exciting place to work, now it’s hot garbage.
